The handbook “Kilala” won the Excellence Award at “Nihon Town Magazine - Free Paper Award 2019” (Japanese: 「日本タウン誌・フリーペーパー大賞 2019」). This award is voted by the General Department of Tourism specialize for local or abroad publications that conveying information from Japan.

The award was organized by the Nippon Community Contents Association with the support of the Japanese Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Since 2011, this would be the 9th award ceremony.

 

On November 29th, 2019, the “Kilala” editor was honored to receive the award at the ceremony held at the National Science Museum in Japan.
